Being the youth wing of the BJP, it mainly focuses on the issue related to Indian youth. BJYM believes in empowering the youth and giving them a platform where they are engaged and their aspirations and sentiments are reflected in the policies of the BJP. In the leadership of Shri. Anurag Thakura BJYM is raising national issues on a regular basis. Separatists are spewing venom- Anurag Thakur

New Delhi: On the fourth day of Rashtriya Ekta Yatra the National President of BJP’s Youth Wing and Incharge of the Yatra Shri Anurag Thakur hoped for overwhelming public support for the Yatra in Kashmir as it is witnessing at several other places in the country. “Some divisive forces are spewing the venom in the country, they must be arrested, because they are threat to the very peace and harmony in the country,” added Thakur, the National President of Bhartiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM).

Meanwhile, on its fourth day of consecutive journey the Rashtriya Ekta Yatra started from Patna and reached in Uttar Pradesh. At the border of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh chariot ridden Shri Anurag Thakur received the grand welcome and huge response from supporters and general public. The grand welcome ceremony was organized by BJYM’s Uttar Pradesh unit President Shir Harish Dwivedi. On the fourth day the journey started from Patna which received grand support of masses in its way. In Aara Shri Anurag Thakur went to the memorial of great freedom fighter Shri Kunwar Singh and offered flowers and respect at the martyr’s statue.

Thakur vehemently criticized the ‘anti-people’ policies of Central Government in the grand public meetings of Buxer and Ghazipur and held the divisive policies of Central Government responsible for the violence and stone pelting in Kashmir continued since last six months. “The Jammu & Kashmir government has badly failed in containing the violence and stone-pelting in the Kashmir since last six months hence it has lot the right to stay in power. The Chief Minister of J&K Mr Omar Abdullah must resign from his post,” demanded Thakur. He further added that people of the country are well aware of the very purpose of this Yatra and the day politicians of the country will try to understand it with open mind, they will stop protest and creating disputes out of it.

“The very purpose of the journey is to pave the way for a solution for the Kashmir issue,” said Thakur. He demanded to repeal Article 377 of the constitution which gives special status to J&K and reiterated that problem could be solved only by constitutional measures which is not being used. Shri Thakur said that J&K has two flags, this is the reason some divisive politicians are opposing the programme of unfurling the Indian National Flag, Tricolor, at the Lal Chowk in Kashmir.

“Congress is well aware of the fact that preventing anybody from hoisting the National Flag is insult to the Tricolor. I want to know why the Congress is mum on the insult of the Tricolor. Why is Congress mum on such direct insult to the National Flag in our country,” added Thakur.

Exposing the dual policy of Congress General Secretary Mr Rahul Gandhi, Shri Thakur asked direct and pinching questions. “The youth of the age is concerned with the Kashmir issue and skyrocketing prices. Why, Rahul Gandhi who claims to talk about the problems of the youths, are mum on these burning issues?,” On reaching at Ujiyarpur in Uttar Pradesh border, Shri Thakur offered garland to the statue and his respect to Swami Sahjanand and then headed for Ghazipur district.

Addressing the grand public meeting in Ghazipur in support of the Yatra the National Vice- President of BJP Shir Kalraj Mishra said that the struggle of BJYM will never get unnoticed. “BJYM is getting the power of youths in each part of the country which will surely override all the other forces,” said Kalraj Mishra. The meeting was also attended by several BJP, BJYM leaders besides huge public.
